About the Customer

Tako Cleantech Co. Ltd is a rapidly growing SMB in the clean technology sector, specializing in solar cell solutions for residential and commercial applications. Founded in 2020, Tako Cleantech has experienced significant growth, now serving customers across Thailand with 150 employees and annual revenue of 1000 million THB. The company focuses on providing sustainable energy solutions through high-quality solar installations and maintenance services. Their mission to accelerate clean energy adoption aligns perfectly with modern cloud infrastructure capabilities for scaling operations efficiently.

Customer Challenge

Tako Cleantech faced critical infrastructure challenges with their legacy on-premises servers experiencing significant latency issues and slow operational performance. Their existing SAP system struggled to handle growing business demands, causing delays in customer order processing and inventory management. Without modernization, they risked losing competitive advantage in the fast-growing solar energy market. The lack of reliable backup systems and limited scalability threatened business continuity during peak solar installation seasons, potentially resulting in revenue loss and customer dissatisfaction.

Partner Solution

Com7 start by designing an SMB cloud foundation standard on AWS, beginning with a multi-account landing zone created through AWS Organizations. Separate accounts were carved out for Shared-Services, SAP Workload,  logging-archive, and audit. Centralised sign-on is handled by AWS IAM Identity Center ,while Service Control Policies fence off each environment with least-privilege boundaries.

Com7 implemented a robust three-tier architecture on AWS leveraging EC2 instances optimized for SAP workloads. The SAP HANA database runs on r6i.2xlarge instances with 2TB EBS gp3 storage for optimal memory and I/O performance. The SAP application layer utilizes r6i.2xlarge instances with 500GB EBS gp3 storage, ensuring sufficient compute resources for business operations. Network security is managed through a Fortigate firewall deployed on c6i.large instances with 100GB storage, sourced from AWS Marketplace.

To ensure business continuity and data protection, AWS Backup is integrated to perform automated daily backups with a 30-day retention policy. The backup strategy is designed to meet an RPO (Recovery Point Objective) of 24 hours and an RTO (Recovery Time Objective) of 24 hours, which is appropriate for SMB operational requirements while maintaining cost efficiency. AWS CloudTrail delivers comprehensive audit logging for governance and compliance, while Amazon CloudWatch enables real-time monitoring, logging, and alerting for proactive operations.

Our Key Success

Through a comprehensive Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis, Tako Cleantech Co., Ltd. successfully achieved a 38.3% reduction in overall IT costs over a five-year period.
